#185 Spring Into Spring

Peggy is hosting our challenge today, and the theme is Spring into Spring. With the Spring Equinox having just occurred in the UK earlier this month we are hopefully springing back into life with new births, and buds and flowers appearing on the trees and shrubs and so we would love to see your Spring themed cards. These can include New Birth as well as flora and fauna.

As usual anything you care to enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece, some home decor, as long as it has a lovely Spring theme.

Please remember our 15 total challenge rule!

Some inspiration from our fabulous DT

Peggy
It is my pleasure to host the Spring into Spring challenge. I love Springtime, the time of year when everything takes on new life. Flowers and all of nature come forth with so much beauty. I made t his card using Craft Artist 2 software. I pop dotted some of the flowers and the banner with foam adhesives for dimension.

Josephine
I used stamps from Inky Doodles and Clarity as well as one I can't identify. Dies by Spellbinders, Versafine and Distress inks, and the image was coloured with Promarkers.

For my spring card I used a pretty fairy in gown stamp by Stamps Happen Inc.  I coloured her with Copic Markers in spring colours, Wink of Stella and pencil crayon.  To complete the card I added some flowers, pearls and a butterfly.

I used several sheets of the same image from Hunkydory's Little Book of Flowers to decoupage the vase of tulips and matted it onto mulberry paper which I have had in my stash for years!

Ahh...wonderful Spring!  I tried my hand at watercolor for this challenge with Altenew Wild Hibiscus and Beautiful Day stamps, a little Wink of Stella for the flowers, 3 sequins and Spring has sprung!

Finally Spring is here  and  I decided to make a card depicting new birth ( the birdie and her eggs) with the addition of colours of the season and rain .  The image is a  retired image by Sassy Cheryl.

It is actually Autumn down here in Australia but Spring is my favourite season (probably for most of you too).  The garden fairly bursts with new growth and there are flowers!  Lots and lots of gorgeous flowers!!  So, my card was made with some pretty, flowery designer paper which has been crumpled and torn.  I have added a touch of flowery lace ribbon and, of course, topped it all off with some pretty, spring coloured flowers.

I have had these papers by Graphic 45 for some time and this seemed like a good time to use them. I layered up several patterned papers and used one of the gorgeous images which I enhanced with Stickles Glitter Glue and 3D glazes. The little bunny at the bottom right is from Paper Chase.

I have used a Lili of the Valley stamp with Dovecraft papers, Die-namics Flower Die and Liquid Pearls.

I made a card for wedding, with handmade flowers from foam.  I used floral paper, tulle roses and blue and green colors combo.

I have used this stamp by Penny Black because these two rabbits remind me of spring everytime I look at them.

Great minds think alike!  I have used the same Hunkydory Little Book image as Mary, but I have used one sheet, die cut it and layered it onto rainbow Mirri card before adding to my 5 x 7 base card with some ribbon.

Had a lovely time making this and have gone for a vintage spring feel. All the stash is new to me!  Papers are K&Co Brianna and I have used Papertrey Ink stamps stamped directly to the paper, I was really nervous about doing this but love how it turned out, and then coloured with Chameleons, the gift wrap is also a Papertrey Ink die and stamps, lots of inking round the edge with peeled paint and vintage photo. finished off with some prima flowers and die cut leaves.

I used Distress Inks in several colours to create the background then, using 2 Clarity stamps, stamped the flowers but chose only to add colour to the poppies

I have made a home decor piece for my Mum using Hobby Art stamps and a wooden bird house.

A card for my daughter who's got a birthday this week. I've used dies and an embossing folder from Crafter's Companion and others, along with some Coredinations Whitewash card, and embellished the centres of the flowers in the background with transparent/gold sticky dots from Craft Creations.

This card is for a very dear friend of mine for her birthday.  I love the sentiment on this old  rubber stamp I have had for many years by Stamps Happens, Inc.  The stamp is called My Special Friend and the sentiment says "You'll always be my special friend".  The card was coloured with Ink Intense Pencils.

My card this time was a last minute request, and I used one of my hunkydory little book images with a backing of rainbow mirri card.  I used two fancy edge card blanks for the base and added a complementary ribbon bow.

Hi all made this card from some free Bo Bunny papers that I've had for a while but seemed like the right time to use them. I'm sure you recognise the gorgeous Paper Artsy stamps and the sentiment is by Melissa Frances. I completed this with some Stickles glitter glue.

It is my sister's birthday shortly and this is for her. I have used a stamp from Crafter's Companion Frou Frou collection called it's never too early and coloured it using Spectrum Noir pens.

Hello everyone. This card was made for my Niece who is turning 50 a little later this year. The papers are from Maja and the flowers are from Megs Garden. Lots of layers on this card .. the papers, a doily which was cut in half and there are also two hidden tags as well. Topped it off with a piece of pretty lace, a seam binding bow and a few scattered prills.

I made this card for my sister's Birthday and used an image from Digital Two for Tuesday that reminded me of a picture of us in our childhood from a later era..

I made this card for my Niece's Birthday I used a vintage image, distressing, lots of Flowers.

I have 2 mother's Day cards to make and this is the first one and it uses a fabulous image and sentiment from Simply B Stamps (I'm a new convert to these images!) I just thought it was adorable when I spotted it in the store and the sentiment made me smile, I have used digi papers Stacey's Scraps ~ Strawberry Ice Cream kit.  Stamped, embossed and die cut the flowers finished off with some leaf die cuts and some pink gems.

I made this card for a very special lady.....my eldest daughter Jenni.
What girl doesn't like a bunch of beautiful sparkly flowers.

I made romantic card with ballet dancer in the middle of my card. I used very fresh colors combo - purple and yellow, I added flowers and gems.

Maike
I used these gorgeous stamps by "Create a Smile" and added colour with Twinkling H2Os. Check our my blog post for a picture that shows all the shimmer and shine these watercolours give.

Peggy
I made this card for my beautiful daughter, Donna.  Donna always has my best interest at heart and is always there when I need her.  I made this card using the new Anna Griffin Edge Dies.

June
I have made this card for my dearest aunt. I used the 'Jewelled Heart' Die by Sue Wilson, from her 'fillables' range and used the smaller heart shapes from this set to put inside the heart treat cup.  Full details available on my blog
